right side mirror mounting

Post by Duane Ausherman »

Please tell me where the factory mirror mounts on the right side casting. I would like to hear from more than one person. This is to settle an argument with my best friend.

Tim, that is for the /6, but not the /5. The black levers didn't come out until the /6. The levers aren't interchangeable and even have a different profile at the pivot area.

The length of the cover on top of the throttle chain is longer at 62 mm from the hole to the tip. The /5 is only 52 mm.

That casting is only for 1974. The gear has two marks, one for the 750 carbs and the other for the Delorto. They have a different length of pull.

Thanks for confirming that the mirror mounting hole is in the same position.

Lyman, thanks for the answer, but I could see that it was in error.

That's what Magura is currently selling for the /5 and 1974 /6 applications, the early ones are NLA. You didn't specify which bike in your first post.

Yeah - I was about to post a picture of a R65 perch!

I thought he might have been collecting various images for a chapter on mirror mounts on various models.
