Does anyone have experience with these batteries in an airhead?

I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.

Re: Lithium-Ion batteries...
I would pay special attention to the characteristics of discharge rate (as in STARTER-service) and the charging system on the bike. Some very-high-tech light-weight batteries cannot deliver the high current for starting without a severe voltage drop and getting hot.

The WebBikeWorld review sure manages to take an awful long time to say very little.
Here's a much shorter article that, I think, actually gives a bit more info.

Nice thread if you have a spare couple of hours to read it,and a brain that doesnt hurt easily,
but I think the gist of it is that he prefers anti gravity batteries, mainly because the Shorai exploded under his harsh and unusual testing.
EME doesnt like the Shorai either, and you will probably understand why if you read the whole thread.

Re: Lithium-Ion batteries...
Feeling vindicated after reading the links above. It's now OK to call them Lithium "Iron" not "Ion".

Re: Lithium-Ion batteries...
Actually, the controversy was not between Lithium "iron' and lithium "ion," it was more between lithium "iron" and lithium "iron phosphate." Still, I think you are correct: you have been vindicated.mattcfish wrote:Feeling vindicated after reading the links above. It's now OK to call them Lithium "Iron" not "Ion".

even though lithium iron batteries are just a smaller subset of lithium ion batteries so they are STILL lithium ion batteries...
