How about a thread on the bikes you'd really like but for one reason or another ( mainly lack of dollars) you can't really consider?
I really like Tilly my ST but I also like old Brit singles, the bigger the better .This one is just about the best for me, a Model 19 Norton, a 600cc single , really a sidecar puller but a beautiful single !! :D

A guy in Portland has a Triumph 500 twin that I would like. It looks to be '69 or later. He's asking $3500 for it, which doesn't seem like a bad price since it looks OK and runs. I'm tempted.

It has the scrambler pipes, which I like. Has anybody ridden one? Do they burn you as often as they look like they would?

After my Sears Allstate 250m my first real motorcycle was a T100C, the 500twin with the scrambler pipes. I don't remember getting burned. The 500's go pretty good, brakes are not that much. One of the best looking motorcycles of all time IMO.

Nice bike Mal...
Be nice to take her for a ride a see how long her legs really were.

Weird photo, they chopped someone on the other side of the bike out of the photo and left his/her boot! And then substituted that guy way a way over the back.

My mate with the Ducati 1000GT visited today, I reckon it's as good a bike as I've ever ridden

I had a Guzzi Le Mans mk2 years ago.

I want a mk1 and have done for a few years.

I'd want timing gears, modern electronic ignition and instruments that wouldn't rattle off. Oh yeah!
