Gators with an RS fairing ?

Looking at an "RS" fairing for my R100T - currently I run an "S" - I prefer gators as I believe they protect the tubes better than the dust boots - can gators be used with the "RS" fairing, is there enough clearance, a modification necessary ? Thanks, Norm

Yep they will be OK. Have them on my RS.

Took off the dumb ones that glue to the fairing and threw them out. The fork gaitors work well in either the RS or RT fairing.

There is a specific gaitor for RS and RT (also fits some others)

Motobins 93909. you may also need a spacer as listed on the motobins site.

Agree - ditch the bellows and fit the early GS gaitors with the upper spacer.

Better protection for the stanchions and longer fork seal life.

Buy 2 sets of the gaitors as they do tend to split after 60K kms. ;)

And make sure you are buying OEM gaiters. Some gaiters I bought a few years ago had "Italy" marked on them. One set split within months and the other set never got the chance since I trashed them.

Not sure what brand I got from Munich m'cycles years ago, maybe 15, but they didn't need a spacer and they are still in good nick.

I'm guessing they're the thicker, more rounded version Jeff. How many ribs?
My comment relates to the Motobins version which are more flexible but thinner.
