Watch out for deer

Just about everyone who rides a motorcycle has at one time or another been reminded by well-intentioned people to watch out for deer crossing our favorite twisty roads. Early morning and dusk seem to be popular times for the venison crowd to wander out onto the roadways.
It's no laughing matter that these four-legged critters can be extremely dangerous to us two-legged, two-wheeled peeps.
Maybe this lady is onto something. Or perhaps she's just
on something.

Just did an overnighter from Cairns to Cooktown. Kangaroos, Cattle, Wedgetail Eagles
and Roadkill are what you have to keep constantly aware of, dodged & ducked several Eagles which
came too close for comfort once disturbed from their roadkills,. thankfully we dont have deer as well
to deal with up here.

Those wedgies are a worry @160 Jeff!
7' wingspan and heavy as a turkey.
They'd take you off at speed.

It's like you live in some nightmarish adventure movie with bizarre mutant creatures at every curve. Giant rabbits, flying turkeys, riding motorcycles with cylinders sticking out in a most unusual manner. How many breasts do your women have?

Yeah I know what you mean Jeff, on our last trip to Cooktown a mate was 50m in front of me,
we were sitting on around 140 and this Wedgey after being disturbed during its roadkill meal
flew straight up say 30ft then swooped back down to my mates white helmet with talons ready, he ducked & it missed him by maybe 2m if that, maybe the eagle was thinking the helmet was a giant egg!,... very lucky boy!
