I like the front clutch, even if it makes the bike look like a cx500. The rear trellis frame also looks good, the only bit I hate is the side 'beaks' that cover the radiators.

It is a very radical redesign lots of opportunities for early adopters to experiance the delights of being product testers!

The BMW engine/tranny package has always suffered from being awfully long. That has certainly changed.

I have body parts for sale so I buy one of these.

At 528lbs claimed weight, it needs a couple of more wheels. With the accessories people load these up with,
seismographs around the world will go nuts when one gets pushed off the centerstand.

One wonders where the extra weight comes from.

Riding one would certainly be fun. And so would riding an airhead afterwards. And we probably don't even need to talk about owner-maintenance.

Many years ago I bough a nearly new Yamaha FJ1100, and was amazed at its sophistication and power. (My prior road bike experience had been Brit bikes.) Yet, after I bought my first airhead I gravitated to it, eventually parking the FJ1100.

I reckon that if I had one of the new R1200GS's I would leave it after about half of a year and go back to my airheads.
