Old Triumph. 1936 5/1 500cc sv model.

Sorry chaps, non BMW content here, but a look at an interesting bike nonetheless.

Mate at work has this ol' 1935-36 Triumph he wants to sell. It's been in the family for years but hasn't had much use and it's now looking for a new home.Ian doesn't know it's value.

A local "old bike" seller offered him a BMW R60/5 as a direct swap. The /5 is in his shop for around $6-7K .. So we figure it's worth a tad more than that, but unsure what.

Very nice, I don't think I've seen a Triumph of that period on Ebay but JustBikes Classic might be a better guide.

The fine art of starting an old English bike. Lots of levers to set just so, roll it passed TDC, give it a kick whilst holding your mouth just so. Fun stuff.
