THANK YOU BILL.....

We first met Bill when he ventured in to our shop way back in 2004.
Bill, a member of the BMW Motorcycle Club of WA, was an avid BMW enthusiast & regularly attended club motorcycle service days & coffee meetings.

He came to the shop to 'Check out what you boys do'. Quite some time later (Bill hated a chat) he left with an arm full of service parts & a promise to return. And he did...so regularly that eventually he convinced Bruce to let him come & help on his 'days off.'

In 2007, when Munich Motorcycles changed its main focus from workshop to on-line parts and accessories, Bill was the man to put up his hand & volunteer to help with our infant website. What followed was truly amazing! Bill's internet savvy was much more advanced than ours....& he quite literally spent hours photographing & uploading EVERY single part and accessory we had in stock at the time...and they numbered in the thousands!

Sadly Bill passed away from cancer in August 2008.
Munich Motorcycles would like to remember Bill & thank him for his contribution to what we believe is now the best online store for BMW Motorcycle parts & accessories in Australia.

Bill Emery - we could not have done it without you!

I liked Bill.
I even bought stuff from Bill, even before I knew who Bill was.
Bill was good for Boxerworks, he knew his stuff.

Even half way around the globe I could tell that Bill was a good person.
Thanks for posting that Rob. Brought a smile to my face.
I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.

Bill was a very fine fellow. "Airhead" is now unavailable as a username because of Bill. Is that still the case?

He managed to get a WA BMW club tool roll for me, as mine was kaput. I never met Bill, and a meeting we planned in Melbourne was thwarted by his illness. He died soon after.

I think it was at out Oz Boxerworks meeting at the Jamieson pub where we toasted Bill. That was late 2008 I think. He died in August '08.

He had a 90/6 from memory.

Good job Munich, nicely done.
Cheers, Steve

Airhead came to us with a mono shock R65.
He picked up the R90 as a project bike a year or so before his death, I believe.

"Bill Emery" is, however, available, but would creep us out way more.

I've only been here for a month or so, but I already had the impression that this was a "good" place with "good" people.

Nice to see the tag Airhhead has been honorably retired, like Jackie Robinson's #42.
