Bike has developed a bit of a cough at low speed and idle (thru the carbs). It's sometimes at a 15-20 second interval when it will cough or skip a beat. Ignition points have a couple thousand miles on them. Valves set then too. Runs well and smooth at highway speed. Maybe it needs a fuel/air adjustment?

Can't help Randy, but my bike did that the other day and blew the rh carby off the head!
A different set of circumstances led to my experience.

Enriching the fuel/air screws a tad seems to have cleared up the cough.
