Post by Bob Distelcamp »

MY son striped the input shaft splines at the shock drive. It's on his R80RT, The shaft is on order 4 weeks already, From the Fatherland. I have a extra trans that I would like to ID it has a stamping on the clutch side that looks like this.

23.11 2.1 82
1 238 806 225 83

A 84

Does anyone know the code??? Thanks Bob

I don't know the code, but any trans 1981 or later should work with your clutch carrier.

It appears that you have not found the serial number, which is what the Snowbum article discusses. Check out the top of the segment on serial numbers in his article, and it discusses where the number is located (it can vary with year).
