Very interesting. I wish him well in his attempt to get action from the company. It reminds me of your problems with Suzuki.

The song was not only annoying as hell but it made up for it by being depressing.

Wearing out valve seats in a couple thousand kilometers because of dust does seem a little weird, as in: hard to believe. It's easier to believe the factory really did set the valves incorrectly and they burned a valve, and the bad sealing of the airbox is just a red herring.

Not good for the motor either way.

So BMW is not the only motor company that cannot admit any fault in their products. Whodathunkit?

I'd be surprised if any of them would ever admit fault, it doesn't look good to shareholders to admit that one is human and makes mistakes. Nor to the various regulatory agencies. And it could invite lawsuits if a company admits it made a mistake.
