Sort of the opposite of a Darwin Award: these guys are too stupid to keep from accidentally killing those around them.

What profound stupidity, or are they people who just don't care about anyone else. So they issue guns to folks that have multiple DWI's? Having more than one DWI should preclude individuals from gun ownership, as they obviously have poor judgement. Fucking assholes.

They take your license away because driving is a privilege. Since gun ownership is a right, no amount of poor judgement precludes you from owning guns. I don't think even violent felonies precludes it in a few states.

BTW, Point of Order: stupid as these guys are, and as good an idea as it might be to not allow them to ever wander around in the woods with a gun, it didn't take any guns for them to kill that motorcyclist. For you and me, it's just a tow chain, but in the hands of two idiot rednecks, it's a deadly weapon.

Tow chains don't kill, people do.
