Gidday
I stumbled on a very tidy, complete and cheap gold RS 1978 fairing on Ebay the other day
and with a little help from SteveD and his contacts it will hopefully be on its way soon back over to OZ.
My question to you is - A gold fuel tank to match, anyone!, yes long shot I know but would anyone know of or have one that is not in use and they are willing to sell?
Just asking

The reflectors are still available, as is the bracket:

Hmmm, less than $13.70 new, reflector and bush. Supply own washer and nut. Can't see that a bracket is required.
Ebay has value added "patinaed" versions for $22.

Gidday,
Patina, I love the word.... Shit my old Chevy should be worth a bloody fortune then given the amount of that stuff that covers the bodywork
So $13 new for the reflectors!! where does one get these from? as I'm gathering its not through your ultra modern, brand spanking new, super friendly (now that's friendly only if your interested in or about to purchase a plastic fantastic with the optional bullshit accessories and bling list all ticked off) otherwise its "we can get that part into the country in a week mate" as I stand there in my old black dryrider jacket and blunestone work boots next to the latest 30's something GS rider who is all decked out in the latest honeycomb reflective, summer vented, winter quilted, anti abrasive, two piece, ready to fly to the f#@king moon, off road safari zip together costume..
Surely I don't have to venture back into one of those stores again, its been a while, but I'd rather not

Can you call ahead with the part numbers and a credit card?
If they are friendly and closer, a BMW automobile dealer should also be able to order anything with the 11-digit part number. At least, that is how it is in the great USofA.

To clarify...
USD13. In the USA. That is OZ$16 x 2 =OZ$32. Add post. Sit down when you get the quote!
To buy locally, multiple x 2.5 (guess) and wait 4 weeks for delivery.
And they wonder why we buy stuff from abroad.
Grant, I don't think they were stock on Euro or Oz delivered bikes though.
