Fuzzy wuzzy was a gearbox drain plug

It has been sometime since I last did a gearbox oil change. 28k kms to be exact. So in prepartion for the NSW Boxerworks get together I changed the oils in the bike today.
Gearbox has been changing fine to-date. When I drained the oil it still looked as it had when it went in. No real change in it's colour.
As you can see from the photo below there is a bit of fuzz. When running it between my finger tips it was just like a very fine paste. So the gearbox is still in good order.

Yep, you are good to go, have fun.
I would suggest changing the oil a bit more often.

I had meant too but life got in the way at times.

That looks fine. Good to go.
Grant and I have been talking about buying a transmission, for use by whoever needs it first. Cost split now, then payment in full at the required time, at the balance of the $ paid when initially purchased.
A sort of co-op thing. We have not done anything further about it though.
eg, if we bought one now, for, say, $600, and three were involved, then it's $200 each now. If in 18 months time, someones trans is kaput, then they have access to it for the $400 balance + post.

And with any luck, the one holding it would need it, saving the post!
You could rotate it's location every 12 months.
