Re: exhaust nuts
Interesting to note that BMW themselves reduced the size (and subsequent cooling area) of the exhaust nuts for the /7 series. Thus BMW themselves deemed these devices of less importance as essential cooling components to the 70bhp RS engine than the preceding 67bhp R90S engine. Motorworks offer for ...

Re: Sure glad i washed the bike today...
Is it possible that you made them finger tight and forgot to finish the job? Just asking. In a similar vein, I had a main dealership fit new handbrake shoes to a BMW 7 series a couple of years ago. Ruth and I collected the car, and she drove it home with me following. After about a mile the car ski...

My guess is that the hole is blocked and will need clearing out if the M/C is to work.

Re: Flat to round air filter conversion
I stripped down a Guzzi Le Mans that had run with totally unfiltered Dell'Ortos for nearly 70k miles and there were no unpleasant surprised with the heads or valves and no scoring or excessive wear on the (cast iron) bores. Things would probably have been different if the bike had been running aroun...

edit - just found a pic:
I found that satin black followed by wet'n'dry (used wet) on a sanding block brought the highlighted areas up a treat.

Re: Anybody have too much money?
that's a great plug for the bike! Has anyone here "tuned" an R65? Might be fun to get a bit more pep and tune the suspension. There used to be a rider on this board, Rob, who owned a R65. Where did he go? You can bore out and sleeve the barrels and fit bigger pistons. They go very nicely ...

Re: Anybody have too much money?
I really like the way the R65LS looks but have heard that the R65's are kinda "poochy", how do the R65LS bikes run and handle? I suppose they can be tuned like most airheads? The low bars are as near as BMW got to a sport bike riding position in the early '80s and the shorter wheelbase, 1...

I'm no expert, but if you take a photograph of the post you're posting on the forum and then post the photograph of that post in the post you just posted isn't there a risk of damaging the space time continuum?

Bob, I don't live anywhere near Crewe, but if the seller wants to send them to me (in Somerset) I will re-send them to you.
