Re: High number of views for newish posts

Thanks for that ME, I had not noticed. Maybe we will have to require a login to access all forums then. For a long time it's been that one can view the post '70 Airheads and other forums without having to login. But due to the denial of service problems we've been having, perhaps we will have to lo...

Re: High number of views for newish posts

I’ve had trouble accessing this site at times. I get an error stating that the maximum number of users is on the site already. That's what the problem seems to be, Jeff. There was a post on ADVrider regarding being unable to access the Boxerworks site due to maximum number of users. If there is any...

High number of views for newish posts

Gidday you lot, been a while. I drop in every so often to see what's going on. Recently in another forum I read that people were having trouble accessing this site. Just looking at some new posts in the 'Post 1970's airheads' Some of these posts have a very high number of 'views' compared to older p...

Re: R100RS centre stand repair.

Good on you for having a crack at this repair Steve.
Shortening the stand deffo makes it easier to get it up on the stand.
My repair is still as it was when I did it.

Any talk here about airheads is good these days, tyres or even oil lol.
It's been pretty quiet here for a long time.
Ah the good old days on Boxerworks, what a crew we had.

Hmmm perhaps not bravery, maybe stupid and reckless. It was bloody fun tho.
Road tyres for dry conditions, road tyres in mud with due caution. Mostly works.

Re: Airbox "propellers".

Having an angled end to the tube causes the oil droplets to flow together and be drawn off more quickly... al least, that's always been my assumption. Rob I think that would be part, or all of the reason Rob. Looking at Steve's pic I can't tell if it's right side or left of the airbox. If left side...

Re: Airbox "propellers".

Of more interest is the angle cut end of the tube. That concept only works for airflow across the tube, like the air tubes on the bottom of the carb slides. I don't see the benefit of an angle cut with airflow along the tube? The angle cut might induce turbulence to help mix the crankcase vapours w...

For centreing the tube as Rob says, for best practice least airflow restriction. Of more interest is the angle cut end of the tube.
