Picture-gallery from the trip. A few here and there are out of order but you'll get the general idea.

Going to the 2024 BMW MOA National Rally?
Ridin' To Redmond! Who's going and which way are you getting there? I'm leaving the Atlanta area June 7 and will just follow GPS for the quickest route most of the way up, have a little fun in the NW region along the way if time allows. Riding from the rally to Spokane WA where I'm gonna put the bik...

Re: R1200RT - a worthwhile purchase?
I don't think you'll find it too enormously different to an R1150. Same basic engineering philosophies, just a little more evolved. I've had both generations of the R1200 engine in GSes and both are great, though I like the 2010-on version better for its slightly higher performance. Maintenance is e...

It was a tent, mostly stuffed back into it carrying case, looking like it had been used maybe once. I'd guessed that it f...

+1 On the plastic guards.
Welcome Simon, and congrats on the bike! Post some pics of it please. I always liked the looks of the 1150R. Got to ride one once for about 30 miles; seemed light-years ahead of the airhead I was riding at the time.

Re: First spring ride.
Cheers Steve, that gave me a small chuckle as the climate is a bit different where I live. I'm looking forward to some rides soon too because the hot sticky summer will be winding-down and being outdoors will be pleasant again! I don't like being hot and sweaty so the summer is my 'parked' season.
