anyone want this stuff?

I have un-needed parts cluttering up my space and need to let them go. Fist taker gets them all, takes them all. No shipping. I am in San Francisco. The list of parts is long but I'll high lite the best. Pickler fairing and wind screen, hard bags fit mono shock loops, 79 R100RS main fairing stay, ve...

Re: parts

Damn! I'd be knocking on your door right now if I still lived in San Francisco. instead I am a few hundred miles south... I could put LOTS of those parts to good use... Those parts are just sitting, waiting. One thing I forgot to list, pair NEW 38mm Tommaselli 3 way adjustable clip ons-never used, ...

parts

Been a while since I've visited here! I'm listing all my parts for 77 to 85 parts in the parts forum but wanted to let everyone here know. This is the deal: All parts must go. First taker gets it all but has to take it all, I don't want to ship anything. Included in the list is a Pickler fairing and...

Re: boxer in a box

What shocks are on it now? They might be already stiffer than the OEM ones. The RS faring is right heavy. There will be more vibration with the lighter flywheel, I think, and that's been discussed in earlier posts, too. Easy first thing for performance is an electronic ignition and some HOT coils. ...

Re: boxer in a box

A well-set-up '78 R100s [stock] can kick some serious butt. ( I'm assuming it is an R100?) We've discussed the brakes issue before. Make it stock FIRST, and then see what you might want to change later. You could waste a lot of money fixing what ain't broke. If you want rapid acceleration , conside...

boxer in a box

the 78rebuild is going slowly. I have a crankcase with no mains or crank. I have been contemplating balancing the crank shaft and blueprinting the engine. I've never done that before. The other thought is to try to bring this back as near stock as possible. That would mean getting rid of the CC brac...

Re: flow master

from what I can tell, this thing is useful for those who are tuning to a cam or using a carburetor such as a Mikuni that hasn't been jetted for the machine it's being used with. I think this is for use with a 4 stroke engine. I am rethinking my whole idea of stock set up for most bikes. A little twe...

Re: flow master

I posted because there are a few over there on the VTR side that have used this thing to help dial in their carburetor tuning. It's supposed to be a way of leaning out or making the carbs run richer without having to change the jets every time. Once you get close the flomaster is pulled and you adju...
