But Alf and Maija, publicans of the last twenty-five years have recently sold and moved out.

I think the pub's being 'done up' at the moment and the price of steak sandwiches will quadruple for bmw riders..

Gidday,

Well one of us better ride along a shiny Harley for the weekend so that the new fresh faced publican with feel sorry for him and give the leather clad, tassel swinging biker a sack full of steak sandwiches at the non BMW riding price and return to camp with the spoils to share and feast on..

You're a bloody genius Grant. Trouble is, no one will want to ride the Harley.

Here's a post from the new owners, from a thread over on ADV > Regional Forums > Australia (Goannas in the chook shed) > "Tindaldra pub sold"

"Hi, from the new owners of the Tintaldra hotel. I had a little laugh as I went through this thread. "Latte" Guys please.... We bought the Tintaldra Hotel off Alf and Maja in September and have been hard at renovating it, trying to bring it back to its former glory. When we took possession the pub it was in desperate need of some TLC. We have completely renovated the bar and dining area and have also done the rooms out the back. The pub will retain all the history and memories made within the walls. As a local I have been coming to this pub my whole life. In saying that I know how important it is in the motorcycle fraternity. One of the shareholders actually sold his bike so he could buy his share in the hotel. Another is a old school bike NUT. Having a 78' ducati 900SS and a 71' Norton Commando fastback just to name a few. Guys lets face it, the pub was in desperate need of "new blood". Alf and Maya did a great job but they weren't getting any younger. As for the décor and design we are making it the quint essential country pub. Good meals, cold beer and a great atmosphere. I don't understand where "Up market Clientele" came from? Having spent countless hrs looking over Bettys original photos we are trying to bring the pub back to its roots. Opening all the front up, letting more natural light in and having an adequate dining area are just some of the things we have managed to achieve. Cheap accommodation is also staying, with the 4 Motel like rooms receiving well deserved upgrades. In the near future we plan on expanding out capacity to cater for those bigger groups. Anyway guys, hope to all see you down here some time. Ill have a cold one waiting.
Cheers Tintaldra Hotel"

So we'd better test it out.

There, fixed it for you, Sibbo.
It's only a few metres from the NSW/Vic border on the mexican side of the Murray River.
My recommendation is to take at least a week to get there, zig-zagging your way down the Great Divide.
