I know Bernie, he's a big name in the area. His prices are always big too. I heard he was clearing out some of his collection.

I've met him too, a huge collection by all accounts . I don't mind him asking .... but I don't like his chances .

Talked to Michael in Nimbin, he is pretty good friends with Bernie and reckons he's sold a few bikes in recent months. Some people have a lot more money than I.

She'llbe, how are you going with finding a replacement bike?

Picked up a 1987 R80 mono with sidecar. Michael told me I'd kill myself with a chair. I'll sell the chair to finance the new project. Still have to rebuild the shed, mow the lawns, a lot!!!!, perform miracles (work) and be a good dad and husband. I thought I worked hard when I was in my 30's, I'm smashing it in my 60's!!! Wouldn't be dead for quids.

Good choice of bike. A chair can be fun, and I reckon there will be one in my future as a way of extending my riding life once I get to the inevitable stage where I can't hold up a two wheeler safely any more. So far so good, and as you say - wouldn't be dead for quids. All the best, mate.

ps: I can't push a mower any more. Bought an old ride-on mower last year and love it to bits.

No, Michael needs his chair with his bad leg and all. I was supposed to go over there today to do some work on the bike. Gave him a tingle and found out he wrote off his Subaru yesterday in the rain on the M'bah-Kyogle road. Seems there was a diesel spill after a brief shower and that was all she wrote. Michael and all are ok, but bruised up, the car was a write off though. My missus wrote off her Subaru last May when she was driving up the mountain and a tree came down across her bonnet. If she had been a second faster, the tree would have been across the driver!!! The Gods must be on our side.
