I do, and no flashes from oncoming drivers as yet. Still need to tweak the aiming a little though.

If it works, it works. Have a look sometime at how an H4 HID-conversion works. As most of us know, in an old-fashioned incandescent H4 there are two filaments (one for high/one for low) and their distances from the reflector shift the focus of the beam to be high or low. HID uses glowing plasma instead of a filament, and it takes a few moments to get the glow going, so having two plasma-sources at different focal-lengths won't work. The HID-coversion unit I saw had a solenoid that shifted the position of the plasma-source relative to the reflector.

A machinist here at work made the mounts for me. You guys convinced me in the other thread to not put them on my lower forks, so I didn't. They work well and I was grateful to have them this morning when I was riding not only in the dark but in the fog. Sibbo must have his wired to the high beam, but mine are just on a toggle switch which is good, because my high beam this morning was just reflecting back at me, while these were illuminating the road. If there had been deer I would have seen them. I met a few cars and nobody flashed their high beams at me, but to be fair sometimes I'm afraid to flash somebody who's blinding me... because what if THOSE are just his low beams? I was able to go 55 where there wasn't any fog, and usually nearly 40 in the fog. I've seen denser fog than what I had this morning where I would have to go even slower.

I have the 30 degree on the left side aimed to my right and down the road, and the 60 degree beam is on the right and pretty much aimed down and straight ahead. That's what I tried for anyway, I will fine tune them as soon as I get a chance with a dark parking lot and a wall to aim at. I don't have anywhere to do it at home.
I do, high beam but with a toggle to turn them off as well, that's required by law here. I'm not sure if I'd be allowed to have them not throught the high beam.

When the fancy white hid light goes out, that's it. Aint no high or low to switch to for an emergency landing. :shock:

I'm not sure I'm allowed to. But like Veg, I did it anyway. So far.

We have rego checks every year here and if it doesn't fit the rules you change it or don't get it registered .....
