Howdy all, I has a R69S I need shipped from denver . Can anyone tell me the over all LxWxH with low euro bars on it?
I'm thinking about shipping it Forward air. ALSO, if you have a better suggestion for shipping other than Forward Air i'd love to hear about it.
Thanks,
Matt

Re: /2 LxWxH measurements needed for shipping....
It will easily fit in the box provided by Forward Air. I shipped my VW bike in one and it is longer than a stock bike, otherwise the same.
There was plenty of room left over, don't worry.

Ask the Indians what happens when you don't control immigration.

Re: /2 LxWxH measurements needed for shipping....
The one in my living room is 7'3'' or 87" long, 26.5" wide at the bars and 41.5" to the top of the throttle housing whilst sitting on it's center stand. (The factory manual says 83.6" long and engine and "solo" bars both at 26")

Matt, the width measurement I gave was for a /2. The book says a R69S is 28.4" wide. Sorry about that!Matt wrote:much thanks!

Matt,
I have used Forward Airmany times before. Always fast and efficient. Problem for me was it wasnt door to door service.
I quit using them because their prices got to a point where they werent competitive price wise for me. Plus I live125 miles from thier nearest warehouse. My time, fuel, and related costs always has me using door to door companies.
Options for shipping? I have been using B & B which is the Old Eagle One Express
http://www.eagleoneexpress.com/
or Federal (Allied)
http://alliedmotorcycleshipping.com/
Both of these companies have brought to me and delivered bikes for me without any issues what so ever.
If ya got Huevos? Always a crap shoot. If you do your homework and get all your ducks in a row you might save monies finding someone on one of these sites like Yahoo groups /2 and ADV riders to see if anyone is going your direction with trailer space? Helping with related costs and such you may find someone coming to an area near you? Easier during the summer months using this method.
Best Of Luck!
ps: Maybe add a trailer space/Transportation needed forum on Boxerworks?
