Testing the coils for this is really easy. Close the plug gap up a little. If that fixes or improves the problem, then it's definitely a weak spark.jagarra wrote:Fixed Outback, just needed some PM and cleaning and tightening of terminals on battery.
First test on bike, fuel flow: left side 235 ML in 15 seconds, Right side 233 Ml in 15 seconds. OOps that was on reserve, not going through screen, Now left is 196 ML in 15 seconds, Right 193 Ml in 15 seconds.
Did see some black specs of stuff in fuel, not a lot but some.
Coils look like they are original, checked center electrodes inside the coils, nice and clean can see brass. Plugs are dark brown on left side, darker brown on right side. My estimation is that we are a little fat on mixture, could be weak spark.
Guess I will see who has new coils since I am in upgrade mood.
Of course, if the coils are original, new ones will give a better spark regardless, but won't fix the stumbling problem if that's not the actual cause.
