Anyone have a descriptive procedure on how to test the hall effect sensors on 1100RT? I have the Factory service manual.....tells how to replace parts, no information there on testing.
I have determined that I do have ignition on power to one of the five wires going to the hall sensors.
I have determined that I have ignition power to the ignition coil.
I have determined that I do not have the intermittent ground "Trigger" signal coming from the ECM to the coil.
How do I decide weather to look at the hall sensor set or suspect a faulty ecm?
I have inspected & cleaned all the plug connectors with De-Oxit.
I do not have the nifty little BMW LED Timing light box to connect up to the hall sensors.
I am hopeful that someone can tell me how to test the hall sensors at the 5 wire connector plug using a multi-meter.
Thanks, Ibj...

Here's a page on advrider that might prove helpful: Diagnosing and Replacing the Oilhead Hall Effect Ignition Impulse Sending Unit. There are probably lots more helpful articles there.
