The other fork leg will get MESSERSCHMITT
This one needs to be cleaned up and colored.
Unsprung weight is overrated.

It is rather long, but it works rather well with my user name and it's nifty.bbelk wrote:Very cool! Isn't MESSERSCHMITT kind of a long word.
I would have put Rsoul on the other leg, but it doesn't work because it's upside down.

Titanium! I've only got a diecast aluminium budget, but working at a large metal fabrication firm with attached machine shop, I can afford stainless! I could probably afford a few more, seeing it was free.Rob wrote:Maybe titanium?ME 109 wrote: Unsprung weight is overrated.

It's rather thick actually, at 6mm. I might attack the back with a 40 grit 5" sanding disc on an angle grinder. That will lose some weight quickly! Just might give me the burnished look I'm thinking of too.
If I paint the letters I'll lose the centre line of the cut, which gives it a dual line affect.

So, presumably (a) MessERschmitt will work even when it is upside down, right?ME 109 wrote:It is rather long, but it works rather well with my user name and it's nifty.bbelk wrote:Very cool! Isn't MESSERSCHMITT kind of a long word.

Of course, if you had the electric version of the RS, a tag that says A RS E would be fitting.

I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.
