Maybe I don't want a dual sport bike.

I still can't stand 60 cycles/second. Even if it's a vibrating car antenna, I jump away. Here in the states that's what our 120VAC is sent at, and I've felt it too many times.

Didn't think of that!

Clearly you made it back, tho. I bet the lads couldn't stop laughing.

Steve, Grant, Pete and Charlie came back to my place after we had dinner at a local hotel. A sit around the fire and a few grogs before the boys headed off.
I shouldn't have suggested the short cut from my place back to the motel! Bloody funny, Steve. Hope you don't mind me finding fun in your misadventure.

No worries Jeff. It was why I posted. Gotta laugh! ;) 1.5 kms became 4km, or so.
They were almost asleep by the time I got back! You know that roo you hit...I think I saw him hopping on one leg thru the old golf course!

The roadkill on display was interesting. There were the usual 'roos in a variety of decay, but today I don't think I've ever seen more dead foxes and wombats in one day.

It must've been car club w/e 'cause yesterday we saw dozens od very old cars, including a brace of Bugatti's. It looked like the Mini club was out and about too as there were a few dozen of them.
We saw about 50-60 Harleys at Boonie Doon, with multiple obligatory recovery trailers.

I saw at least two Cobra replicas, but it might've been the same one twice? :?

Cool. Did you see a highway of diamonds with nobody on it? I want to see that.
