'81 R100: separating driveshaft from rear drive

Any trick to this? My rear drive's big left seal is leaking and I'd like to remove it.
I disconnected the brakes, removed the shock, and removed the 4 bolts holding the driveshaft and rear drive together, but no love!

Give it a few good whacks with a rubber hammer. Someone most likely used glue the last time they mounted it...

Now, any help with that big seal? The inside cover has to come off?
