Thinking of branching out.

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Haha...yeah I remember those days !

Today was easy. 90 minute ride & $100 for the rwc, papers all signed on the way to Grants for lunch, then collect the red plates from VicRoads on the way home.

Did I get lucky or what! Check this plate out...suits the bike to the year! It was randomly selected from a drawer full of them. :D

I swapped the plates over the counter only to notice the holes weren't in the right spot. I asked the next bloke if he had a power drill in his boot? Nope he said, but then he said " go around the corner to Powerhouse Engines. Ask for Denis, tell him Brian said to look after you!" Bewdy. Turns out Denis doesn't know any Brians, but he sorted it for me anyhow. Denis is a precision machinist and he measured and measured and marked and drilled like he was doing expensive engine work. Fantastische! Thanks Denis from Powerhouse Engines in Warragul, Victoria. Enjoy those beers!

$492 refund on the full rego ..."the cheque's in the mail". That'll help pay for the replacement for the lost 3 week old expensive multifocal seeing eye glasses.

Give Denis and Powerhouse Engines a positive review on Google Maps!
I love doing that for businesses (and doctors) that do me right!

Every time I've pulled in at Grant Fowler Signs at Trafalgar there's been no bastard there. No Grant, no fire, no coffee, no bullshit. And there is not even a sheltered spot to have a leak.

I'm giving Grant Fowler Signs at Trafalgar a bad review. Don't go there folks, it's not worth it.

ps: Well done Steve. That plate is perfect.

Still laughing

Seriously all points of view have been taken on board, these will be addressed at the next AGM with the board of directors at GFS PTY LTD.
in the meantime take up any other concerns with my receptionist.

Always a good stopover in Traf! I reckon Pete might've had good input on that g/s design.

Charlie, maybe Grant should plant a lemon tree on the corner?

I love you guys.
It's nice to know (almost) firsthand why my Dad held Australians in such high esteem after his time in the S. Pacific during "the war". :D

It's been almost 10 years since I bought that K1200R.
I sold it last year after over 9years and 81Kkm (90 total). It was great fun. So much fun that I replaced it with a 2014 K1300R.
The new bike had 41Kkm on the clock. When I got the rwc the blokes said it was in great nick. However the oil was overfilled by 500ml! Easily sorted. It came with a sc project carbon muffler and the much heavier oem one too. Also a spare seat, but lower. Sold the oem muffler to pay for petrol!
I sold the K12 with it's oem muffler and kept the Remus which also fits the 13. I still have another oem K13 muffler that cost bugger all. So there are 3 muffler options for the 13. I'll likely sell one of the lighter ones at some point though.

Image

I sold the K12 without the luggage and transferred it all to the K13. Winner! That saved at least $OZ1000 :)
A few weeks after selling the K12, it appeared for sale again, post a crash for less than half what I sold it for. It sold fast...lucky I saw the advert after it was sold...I might've bought it back :?:

The K13r had new metal fuel quick disconnects fitted first thing and the fuel pump controller was replaced when it failed after about 2 months  . That needed a truck ride home but I had a spare and was away within 1.5 hours. Then the kill switch failed too  That had been replaced under recall in 2016 but BMW still replaced it for nix :) after I asked. :)

So far, no more niggles. It's done 46Kkm now and is a joy to ride.
