First spring ride.

Post by SteveD »

Grant, '78 RS, Ian '70 75/5 (equipo5), David '02 1150R and me 11/81 R100RS had a plesant ride for lunch today.
17C with pm rain forecast, so 3 of us met Grant @ The Outpost Restaurant in Noojee for a yak.

A reasonably short spin of 180 or so kms where Ian had the chance to get out of town on the /5 for it's first decent run. He got drizzled on as he left my place going home!

Well done gents. That's a nice run from Melburg to Noojee.

Yes, thanks to Steve, a great day. Good company, scenic ride, a unique rustic pub/restaurant topped off by a generous tune-up and repairs at Steve's after I developed some surg /missing. First decent ride for me in decades, had a few good laughs, the back wheel didn't fall off and all in all, a decidedly great way to fill a day.

Sounds like a nice ride. I am envious as I don't have mates to ride with. Of course riding in the Sierra is a bit challenging right now, here is a picture looking out the sliding door at my GF house located at Tahoe.

Maybe later on in the year it will melt. :(

Question, why are you referring to it as a Spring ride when it is your Fall and our Spring?

I'm still waiting to get my first ride of 2017.
Damned annoying having four bikes when the last ride was in December 2017 ! :(
Hopefully by the time April arrives I will have finished with all the hospital appointments and start moving forward again.
