I tried to rebuild the rear master cylinder on my '78 RS, but there seemed no way to remove the circlip as it sat neatly in a groove in the bore, with absolutely no way of getting a purchase on it. Eventually I assumed it was non-repairable ...
was I wrong ?

I found to remove the pack I needed to use a pin punch though the line fitting

when I removed my pack I found the bore was gone from debris getting through the rubber cover
