This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Beechworth has at least 2 beemer riders...raypond and Jim, the local copper. Years ago, I met a bloke that worked at the asylum at the top of the hill, that rode a /6. I seem to remember the bmwclubvic had a monthly meet at the bakery too.

Nicely put, Doug. I've had similar experiences - meeting some bloke stepping off an old airhead. They always seem to be trying earnestly to stifle a grin. Only natural, I guess. Yep, gotta round them up.

Ah, that would have been Ivan, who sold Brunhilde to me in 2002. Nice bloke.

Really! I met this fella in 1982. All I remember of the bike is that the outer shaft housing had snapped and was welded back together.

Ah, maybe not then. This bloke was/is a mental health nurse, but I think he only had Brun for a few years. A good thing really, because he was under the impression that BMW airheads were maintenance-free.

Most of the chatter I see here (as a lurker) is Airhead talk - I'm not sure Morgan & Wacker in Brisbane will be of any help its all new BMWs there. However Rick from Morgan & Wacker at the Gold Coast has a R100CS & R90S (or did last time I saw him).

There is a loosely organised group of airhead riders in Brisbane & surrounds. We do some ride days, overnighters, service days & some rallies.

I'm trying to organise a few of us to go to the Karuah River Rally at Dungog in February. We could possibly meet some of you there.

G'day Gary, and welcome.
I've just read about the Karuah River Rally - it sounds like a nice spot. Might see you there.

I had a phone call last night. I thought his name was Glenn, but it was late into a day off and I'm not to be held responsible for remembering names. Seems there are about a hundred airhead riders in southeast Queensland. Glenn/Gary told me he'd send some info via email. Looking forward to this.
