Norm does it have R100T on either the side panels or engine badge? Doesn't really matter but since mine has no specific letters other than BMW I was confused. The title is not specific either. But it's nice to know. Thanks for the info!

R100T on the side panels (below seat) - BMW at engine badge - title not specific - does have the small tag above the vin. BMW R 100 10 R-0251

Exact same tag near vin. I guess my panels were either painted or letters removed. Thanks Norm.

The R100/7 was built between model years '77 and '80. The R100T was built in model years '79 and '80. Everything thereafter was an R100 (no suffix unless it had a fairing). The 'T' had a higher compression engine giving about 5hp more together with a higher final drive ratio giving an extra 5mph at the top end (according to the spec).
