accessory connection on R850R

Post by jkrijt »

I just bought a satnav for my BMW R850R and I would like to connect it after the ignition switch so it is switched of when I switch the bike off.
On my Honda GoldWing that I used to have, there was a seperate accessory connection near the fusebox.
Is there one on a BMW R850R. I could not find it in the workshop manual I bought.

Might help. Systems are usually shared amongst models of similar years, 858 & 1100's are a similar platform I think.

You may have to pull the tank off to see if there are wires that were not hooked up for items like heated grips. When I was installing running lights on my R1100RS there were bundles of wires that were part of the loom but not used, found a nice heavy switched wired for the power I needed.
