Complete, excellent condition 4 valve heads, as removed from a running bike. These were on a 1981 R100RT, not some cafe racer or track bike. Bike had 35k, heads had about 10k less. Still very tight and clean. No busted fins or gouged covers. Complete with the plug wires, owners manual, exhaust sleeves to run 38mm pipes(if you don't have 40mm pipes), mount rubbers for 40mm Bings. I am including the very nice cylinders that were running with this set up. Everything was marked for easy reassembly. You will only need some gaskets, clean it up and go. If you are reading this post, you know something about these. If you don't know about them, do some research. Prior owner put them on for added roll-on power on the highway. I rode these around, and I can testify-- I have never seen an airhead with such snortin' power. See lots of pics: http://s968.photobucket.com/albums/ae162/motogodojo/ Payment by cash locally, or by Paypal. I will ship these in the US for $50, not internationally
CAse anyone wants some Krauser heads?

Does one not need a different cam to match the 4 valves?

Answered my on question as I clicked on submit.
I have forgotten a lot of the theory, but the jist of it is, two small valves offer more opening area at a given amount of lift as opposed to one big valve. So a given cam will give characteristics of a steeper ramped cam when used with multiple valves.
Make any sence?

Krauser heads?
Not ESSENTIAL as the K4V kit was intended to plug into a stock engine, but ...Garnet wrote:Does one not need a different cam to match the 4 valves?
Experience with K4V heads shows that they are notoriously hard on the front cam bearing & lifters
as a result of pushing an increased valve-train mass, I would suspect.
( This mass will also serve to define the limits of post-redline excursions )
A phosphorbronze front bearing to replace the stock alloy bit will hold the cam in place.
K4V specific cam profiles ease the beating that lifters endure.
Back in the day ( 1983 ) a new K4V kit sold for @ $1495.00
Re: CAse anyone wants some Krauser heads?
2600E and they come attached to an engine.
