Speedo ventilation

Post by Zombie Master »

So once in a while, I notice some moisture in my speedo. After riding it for a while, or riding it regularly, it doesn't happen. Is there a vent hole that should be cleared, or even enlarged? Where is the hole?

Should I be getting my bike vaccinated?

Where would be the injection site be? I'm thinking universal boot, and which vaccine would be best, and why? :ugeek:

Your model doesn't have a vent hole.
If it's ever stops raining where you live and the humidity goes below 100%, park it in the sun for a while.

It doesn't have a vent hole but it isn't hermetically sealed either, drilling holes isn't going to make much difference. I've heard of people packing a couple of those little moisture absorbent sachets, the ones you get in a lot of packaging, into the binnacle. Not sure if it works but it seems sensible.

I've tried the silica gel sachets. I dried the speedo out really well then put the sachet in and sealed the speedo up best as possible but as has already been said, they are not hermetically sealed. Seemed to work for a month or so then I presume the silica gel gets saturated.
