74 R75/6 front seal replacement

Post by geezer-bill »

In the midst of winter freshening...I notice that both shaft seals appear to be weeping in the front cover.
Can both these seals be pulled and replaced from the front without removing the inner timing cover?
The bike has electronic ignition now also.
Thanks

The inner timing cover can remain in place.
Remove the alternator to get to the crank seal.
Remove the points plate to get to the cam seal.
