She rides her own bike, a KLX 250, upgraded to 300cc.
130,000km and still running like new.

Thanks Rob, I just wish I could have carried on but battling this illness that started in 2019 has drained me, last year I lost 30kg and with it strength in arms and legs, a few weeks ago before I sold the bike I tried to move it and almost dropped it and it was then the decision was made.Rob Frankham wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 5:11 am Around the same age and feeling the strain. I feel for you. My best wishes and may all your aches and pains be little ones...

My advice to all is stay healthy and if you feel unwell go see your doctor, I did but she did not believe my complaints, almost 2 years later another doctor got me to hospital within an hour, by then it was too late to stop its progress.
Iv'e had a brilliant time riding Motorcycles over the years and look back to when I started out and it puts a smile on my face, how I stayed alive is beyond me mind you there was a lot less traffic back then, just wish I could do it again but this time keep some of the bikes I owned, as for everything else I would not change a thing.
Best wishes to you all.

Jaconz-
Sorry if I might have come across as un-empathetic, but you didn’t convey the degree of your health’s decline in your first post. If you're still able to get around and drive a car, maybe you could at least get some enjoyment on something like a scooter, Grom or Monkey bike. Two wheels is still two wheels.
Some of my best riding memories were on a CT70.
Wishing you all the best.

That was something I did consider (single pot Triumph or Royal Enfield) but the illness is Lung Disease and no i've never smoked in my life, going out in cold weather hits me hard and if am honest lost confidence in riding I would go past the bike in the workshop and in the past it was right time for an outing, that regretfully evaperated.gspd wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 3:00 pm Jaconz-
