Not that I know of, but there are a few examples around of mirrors from other bikes that stick out a little further.

Some require another hole to be drilled to accommodate them.
oem to the left. I can't remember the origin of the other one. Grant might be along to tell, if he's not away down the beach.

Ken Whitehawk has a set of spacers for an RS on IBMWR or you can send him an email here on the forum. I never had a problem with the standard mirrors when I had my RS fairing mounted.

I had a passionate dislike for the mirrors on my '89 R100RS. All I could see were my shoulders, and if I set them to see past my shoulders, I could catch over taking vehicles out of the corner of my eye. What a wasted design!!!

Anyway, after one of the mirror bases broke, I ordered 2 new ones, part #46631236129 & #46631236130. I found a pair of aftermarket mirrors that I liked and had enough extension to view past my shoulders. These were BikeMaster Superbike GX mirrors, but I'm sure there are others that will work just as well. I had to drill out the mounting holes on the mirror bases to accommodate the new mirrors, but that was easy enough to do - just drilling through plastic and aluminum. Mounted the new mirrors on the new bases, mounted the new bases onto the fairing without having to drill new holes into the fairing, and I am now one happy rider!

I did a similar mirror swap. Used a set of Napoleon GP mirrors.

I bought another pair of BMW mirror mounts (about $9 each), drilled out the hole (do it slowly with breaks to let it cool, otherwise you can melt the plastic housing). Then with a dremel, I opened up the hole on the underside to insert a nut. You might be able to thread the original metal insert in the mount.

The mirrors provide a very good view. They start to flutter about 80mph.

Got Nick's extenders installed...they seem to work fine, and heck, I can actually see pasty my huge bulging biceps!...yeah right. The do work quite well. I did wedge a piece of dense foam to defer the flexiness they seemed to have statically.
I think it would be a good idea to install a steel or plastic spacer to make them more rigid.
Anyhow, they don't look to non-stock, and the great news is, I can see around myself. Well worth the $55 IMO.

Thanks for the help fellas! :rocker
