I am sure whatever it was was brilliant.

I think it was something to do with having already bought the stuff, so I hope its right. You are correct, I would rather replace all the rubber and not have to worry with it for another bunch of years. I have not been stuck by the road yet and I would like to keep it that way.

The float pins are made to be removed in one direction, only. Look at both sides of the carburetor closely before attempting removal.
