BTW, I have a air of these mirrors if anyone needs them, cheap...

Re: R100RS mirror extensions? Alternative
Hi, i have used on my last three RS fairings the mirrors off a Kawasaki ZX600R 1985 model, they are also used on the EX500 upto 1992
Very good visibility, very close to looking original, just need to drill a wider hole for the mounting bracket and I used an alluminium plate to clamp in effect the mirror, bracket and fairing all together, Very pleased with the results, no vibration problems, and no shoulders blocking rearward view,
Picture attached I hope but if not I can send you pics and details if you pm me,
keep safe
Mike

Close, but no cigar ME 109. Well, I guess it wasn't all that close either.
Hodaka was the brand name of a motorcycle inported to the US by the Pacific Basin Trading Company (PABTCO iirc) somewhere in Oregon, I think near the Columbia RIver. The engine came from Japan. I can't remember if it was the whole bike or just the engine that was imported.
There were different models of motorcycles, and Combat Wombat was one of them. PABTCO had a penchant for strange names. Roat Toad and DIrt Squirt were two other models. One model without a cutsey name was the Ace.
The Hodaka models never got any respect (from me anyhow). But then I was involved with real motorcycles like Husky and later CZ.
Now you know.

Of course.
I was taking my brain back years........
My brother had an Ossa and a Hodaka. I think there was also a Hodaka 'dirt squirt'?
I don't remember much about the Ossa except that the gear lever was on the wrong side............iirc...............

I remember a bit about the Ossa's. They were Spanish bikes and pretty good ones at that. I believe the largest that were available were 250cc. The Stiletto was white and was the MX/flatrack model. The Pioneer was an enduro, not as hot, and brown IIRC.
A guy at work, a blowhard by the name of Jim, had a Stiletto. Back then I was running my BSA A 10 Spitfire Scrambler. Jim and I spent many extended coffee breaks arguing the merits of Brit bikes vs the 2 stroke MXers. I allowed that sure he could be me on a MX track, but if we got on a flat track my pretty hot Beezer could blow him into the weeds.
So he found a pretty good flat track out in a field and another friend flagged us off. He beat me like a drum.
It wasn't too long after that when I got my first real MX bike, a Husky 360 MX.

I may be interested. Please drop me a PM with an idea of what you consider "cheap".Rapid Dog wrote:BTW, I have a air of these mirrors if anyone needs them, cheap...
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)
