Ken aptly described that unique fuel tank as a "plane crash"

Sounds like a great ride. Are you doing the Cape York one next?

More pics please.

I believe a couple of outfits came thru the Simpson desert? That's brave, but I'm guessing they were prepared.
Two guys that I know of came through the Simpson Desert in their outfits. One was a K outfit I think. They both had the pedal powered winch on the front.
I won't go to the cape for the next OCR.......too far.

Excellent shots.

Looks like the wicket was taking some turn, and Ken was about to lose his off stump!

What happened to his screen?

That explains everything!

You do so need a GS. You are in the Nile.

BTW -A day and a half of partying is simply not enough.
It took me a few decades of partying to realize I needed one.

...........a day and a half partying 'this week'
I'm not in De Nile, but I have been up shit creek more than once!
...........maybe I'll see 'ya half way and put some dual purpose tyres on it. ;)

The screen exploded when his RS fell off the centre stand 'again' at Whitecliff. The bike fell onto a fence post......sickening sound. Anyway I had some 100 mph tape which sorted it out.
New screen and new mirror mount. Quite lucky really.

I reckoned off stump as well. Actually the batsman was Mike, a bloke we've met a couple of times now at the Alpine Rally.
We used paddy melons growing next to the pitch for balls and a lump of wood for a bat.

Good pix and great times no-doubt Jeff, best pic was all the camp ovens lined up and cooking nicely.....

You put us all to shame Jeff with your little adventures out back and beyond in true Aussie style as only you know how to do and I am waiting with anticipation to here some more stories about it in a few weeks around the camp fire...
