'Er's only little, but 'er's FIERCE ...

Thanks gentlemen, much wisdom there -- but SiG, if I brought the bike indoors, it would be me sleeping under a tarp in the back yard.

A queen size fitted sheet from a thrift store should work as a light cotton tarp. I use them for dust covers in my garage if I have a bike off the road for a while.

Certainly a man of you abilities could construct a shelter befitting such a luxurious affectation.

The glass faces of the instrument cluster occasionally split away from the housing at their glue seam. To check for that pull off the rubber ring "hoods" and inspect the glue seam around the perimeter of the crystals.

That's how moisture got into my clusters.

Ok... you started it...

four points...

1) If We Brits (and, yes, the French and one or two other insignificant 'old world' countries )hadn't stood up to National Socilaism when we did, the whole world would have been under the sway of the Swastika and the Rising Sun before the good old US of A woke up and realised there was a world beyond its shores...

2) You don't have to thank people when they are doing things for a profit...

3) Although it's very unfashionable to say so, Russia (yes that's Soviet Russia) had far more to do with winning WWII in Europe than the USA, Britain and all of the Western Allies put together.

4) What makes you think you (or we) for that matter won.

OK, that's probably a bit harsh but lets have a bit of realism here shall we. The USA didn't win WWII, it was won by the allies as a whole... thats Britain, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, India, China and many other countries... and, yes, the USA. We probably couldn't have done it without you... you sure as hell couldn't have done it without the rest of us.

I have every respect for the people of all countries who went to war for what they believed in but, if you read the history, you'll find that the 'Hollywood' interpretation of events is wrong in just about every way.

Rant over...

Excellent post, Rob. Some people think old John Wayne movies count as history lessons.
