It still gives me wood

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

It still gives me wood

Post by ME 109 »

18 years now partnered with an 81 RS. Man what a bike.
It's as rough as guts (to the purists) but I see no blemish.
I have seen a big shit load of receipts tho'

For the last year or so, there has been nothing really to fix. I have conquered my heads, rear wheel preload, busted bypass spring , etc, etc, etc.

I must say that an RS is such a perfect fit for me, it's like putting the bike on, instead of getting on the bike.
It has abilities far beyond those of mere mortal bmw's. (and sports bikes) Whether it's on the tight mountain twisties or rough outback tracks, my old RS rises to the occasion with gusto.

I can't ever see myself selling it, or for that matter buy another bike.

Lemme see, 49 59 69 79 :o I gotta make it last for at least another 30 years!
!uck!

Another 30 years? You might as well buy a clutch assembly and stick it away somewhere while the prices are low!

There's a list of functions..two columns of 5 each, in the upper box on the right.

If only I knew how to add music, then I'd have to choose something.
