What were the specs of the flatness and parallelness? Checking the slider action and axle slide is the end result, not the proof of a fork in alignment.
A fork in alignment will have smooth sliders and axle insertion.
Having smooth sliders and axle insertion does not mean that the forks are in alignment.
Ask the Indians what happens when you don't control immigration.
