And you thought we had bad traffic jams

No "open road" on the way to Beijing!

China's nine-day traffic jam stretches 100km

Can you imagine being stuck in a 62-mile long traffic jam for nine days?
It's all downhill from here. Except for the uphill bits.

The state-run newspaper said the jam between Beijing and Jining city had given birth to a mini-economy with local merchants capitalising on the stranded drivers' predicament by selling them water and food at inflated prices.
Nice to know capitalism/entrepreneurialism is going strong there.

Yeah, they are the weirdest excuse for a "communist" nation. I'm sure the eggheads have cooked up some new title for their odd conglomeration of laissez-faire capitalism and totalitarian socialism. Maybe "Paradoxism."

It just totalitarianism. I can't tell it apart from facism, really. They never were really communists in the original meaning of the term, where everything was owned in common.
