Cleaning a Mikuni Flat Side

Newbie needs help cleaning my R90 Mikuni flat sides.
Can someone point me to a video or step by step pics for cleaning a Mikuni TM38 Flat Side carb (or similar).

Not sure that you will find a vid or other such instruction.
From my experience with rebuilding unknown carbs,
I will suggest that you have the advantage of being able to carefully and methodically disassemble one carb
while leaving the other complete and intact as an assembly reference.

Cleaning will be the usual routines -
Complete disassembly of the carb.
A good long soak in Carb cleaner for the carb body and the bits removed,
compressed air or carb cleaner spray for the carb-body passages.
Verify that all of the jets and carb-body passages are clean and free of debris.
Stubborn crap (if found) in an orifice or passage can often be judiciously dislodged
with an appropriately sized strand of soft (copper) wire.

Re-assembly with a gasket and O-ring (rebuild) kit
should be preceded by a thorough visual inspection of all parts
for evidence of wear,scoring, pitting, or other trauma.
Such evidence will often require replacement of the part.
A fastidious attention to cleanliness while assembling is in order.

Also, Mik TM's ain't stock to BMW – so what jets you got in there to move that R90 ?

I, of course, wrote them down before I reassembled them.

Main = 230
Pilot = 22.5

22.5 that is small.......

with my 36mm I used a 25 same main230
