What do youse guys in the states think of 'em?

The Motobatt cost me about $180 AU. A BMW battery was gonna cost me about $260. Up about $100 from the last bm battery. They lost me.

The only problem with the Motobatt is that it's YELLOW!
Never heard of Motobatt before, but I just googled it and they are certainly available here, and they are certainly yellow.

That battery you bought is $124.95 U.S. dollars here. Their prices seem to be about 25% lower than Odyssey AGM's.

Has anyone tried the Deka batteries.
Less expensive than Odyssey.

I bought a Yuasa battery tender about six years ago. One of those little automatic chargers. I rotate it to the accessory plug of each bike bi- weekly whether they are ridden or not. I find parasitic drain guilt provoking. I have not had to replace a battery in the last six years. They all show proper voltage and crank well days after charging. :geek:

I've had pretty good luck with my first Panasonic battery (got about 4-5 years out of it with a bad voltage regulator). I purchased another one to replace the first one. Seems to be as good. I do keep the bike on a trickle charger, while the bike's not in use, which has been more so the last year.

Based on a quick search of the internet, the Panasonic Battery (LC-X1228P) has 28 AH, and 400 CCA.

Here's a link to a store that sells them. FYI, I haven't purchased from this store--just googled for Panasonic battery.

I have a DEKA in my R100S. I have the smaller size that would fit in my SWB /5 and it is very strong (I was going to switch to the larger one when my /5 is back on the road but I really don't see the need). I have had an Odyssey and the DEKA seems more powerful than the PC680 I had. I used to visit their facility in PA in a previous position and was always very impressed by their professionalism and quality. They also make baqtteries for many of the other companies.
