I think I've found the main problem, and a couple of others.

That certainly rates as a genuine one. What are all the others?

Yeah MS, it's a big one, the rest are all rattles mate, more than a millionairs baby, could
move the exhaust valves about 1.5 mm sideways when full open, piston slap, etc, new valves
and guides will be going in.

Ross, I can't see any major scores in the bore, they are fairly used though but, it doesn't matter as Bins had kits on
special last month, 295 quid for barrels, pistons, rings, gudgeons, gaskets, etc, so all to be replaced.

Thats right Jeff, not a lot left in the frame, and I found that bolt to use in the rotor for when the RMS gets here,
thanks for that tip , I'm a bit slack though, as I've only taken the front grill of the fairing off.

At home mate. On early shift for some of this week so finish at 2pm.

I learnt so much about BMW Airheads by pulling mine down. Really don't want to do it again but at least I now know how.

1.5mm sideways valve movement, broken rings, piston slap, worn bores...

It's a lot Major, With whats on the odometer and the general state of things it's either 300,000 Km
or 400,000 Km. my guess is the latter!!
