Retaining the air-filter is an interesting choice - especially since its "output" side would simply be bolted to the transmission. Understandable Photoshop choice though, as it looks "right" even though it can't be right.

OK, I get it, the headlight treatment of the LS looks very Hans Muth. It isn't my favorite looking headlight. In fact, I would say it is a treatment only a Muth could love.

Just me being dumb Chuey - the LS was a facelift model for the rather staid looking R65, and featured the slightly hotter engine too if I recall. Designed by Target Studio's Hans Muth who had previously worked on the R90S, R100RS and of course the Suzuki Katana range. My 1982 bike is an Italian import that's only done 17,000 miles and although I bought it as a daily ride I have the vague feeling that it deserves a slightly easier life while I wait for the world to realise what an undervalued masterpiece the little LS truly is.

Well if you're dumb then I'm a complete idiot. The only motorcycle I own is an '84 LS. I love it, and I ride it everywhere. Never once thought of it as "collectible", just weird. But airheads are weird motorcycles to begin with. Why not go for the weirdest of the weird?

Nice ribbed fork gaitors, btw. And here's hoping you never have to take that fairing apart to get at the instruments, DanielMc. I'd like to murder the twit at BMW who came up with those plastic tabs that lock the lower piece into the upper piece. Total pain in the ass!

Last Spring I got to witness some folks struggling to fix a front turn signal lens on a K75S, a bike that gives me wood every time I see it.
I'm glad I only have to look at other folks K75S' now, and know I'll never have to worry about owning one, as the fantasy has been tarnished.
