Most excellent little machine, Jeff. And for me, it has the added beauty of being made from the materials at hand - a fine Aussie tradition. I am confident that without that machine, you would have found a way to deal with it out on the road, but now you have removed the likelihood of that ever happening.
Now - and this is important - is there any other use it can be put to?

I can put up some more pics and/or information if anyone needs it.teo wrote:Damn you're good, Jeff! That's artistry! I'm going to have my favorite welding guy make me one jsut lite that!

It only 'just' fits through the rear wheel. It could also be made using the next size down square hollow sections.

Re: Snowflake bead breaker
I found an ideal home for the bead breaker. Right where that useless tyre pump used to live.
Fits in there nicely, held in place with 5 cable ties.
Hangin' out to hit the road.
Along for the outback ride will be Ducati Pete on his GS1150, Mal from Dubbo will join us for Friday night on his R100/7
Another six 1150 and 1200 GS's will complete the squadron.
Friday night will be at the 'olde horse racing track' at Nymagee, NSW.

I suppose it could be used as a measuring device used to ensure consistent production of one's recreational smoking materials. A "fatty caliper," as it were.
ME, add me to the list of those impressed with your fabrication skills. Very nice job!
